You might want to think about adding inexpensive but noteworthy options like...

tow hitch
pass memory/lumbar
ambient lighting/kick plates

Also, some here love the black headliner option. Myself included.

+1 on the tow hitch
The ambient lighting is a must have IMO. Kick plates are nice but not necessary. Especially if you don't open the doors at night much.
Passenger memory is a real nice option and fairly cheap.

Not unless you order the AMG ML63.

Great choice on the 550 - I LOVE mine. Best vehicle I've ever owned!!!

To answer your question: Yes, you can order AIRMATIC (the damping control) on its own. You don't need to add Active Curve or the Off Road Package to get AIRMATIC. In 2012, AIRMATIC was bundled with Active Curve in the Dynamic Handling Package 315. But for 2013, it was all unbundled.

You need to add your location to your profile, as we don't know what country you're in. Location matters.

So.. I can order just Airmatic package? its cost $1610 and its a special order... but the person in the dealer is not sure, he think, this package is with conjunction with active curve system, but active curve system cost $2910... plus $1610.. is $4520.
I don't need the active curve system... I want just airmatic with damping control

I was able to order my 550 with just Airmatic without active curve system, but still waiting for it to be built. I didn't think I need ACS either to save some money.

You have ordered the ML550.

Does this not include Airmatic, Active Curve and Damping control as standard?

It certainly does here, and I would expect so in the rest of the world too.

My peek at the MBUSA website does not mention these options so it must be either standard or included in the On&Off road package.

It's not standard, but you can get the On&Off road package. I didn't want to spend 5K or so for that package and just got the Airmatic for less than 2K or so.

Yes, you can, on all except the 2WD. Includes adaptive damping. Active Curve includes the Airmatic package, so it is not cumulative.
