Does anyone know if they (MB) have found a solution to this issue yet?

Ask your dealer to check the Propeller Shaft Installation/Alignment and then adjust the Rear Axle Carrier Angle - it solved the problem on both my 2012 ML550 and the dealer's service vehicle, which is a 2012 ML350 BlueTec.
