ML 350 Exterior Color decision!

Hi all, i am ready to place an order of the ML 350. However, both my wife and I can't decide on the color. We like Dakota Brown, Metallic Black, and the Palladium Silver Metallic.

To those who have one of the 3 colors, any pros and cons? What would you recommend pls? What interior color would match pls? Can you kindly post some pictures pls?

thanx in advance!

I'd go with the silver when it's dirty it doesn't look all that bad I like the black interior where as it doesn't show a lot of dirt it seems to always looks clean.

I have the black and it looks stunning under all weather & lighting conditions! The Black or White are the best color for this SUV.

2013 ML550: Paladium Silver, Brown Satin Ash
Palladium Silver Metallic. This color is in the 'sweet spot' between looking great in all lights and not showing dirt.

But don't take my word for it....go here to use a great visualizer, where you can try different colors and drive them around town: http://www.mercedes-benz.com.cy/cont...nce.flash.html

I have a Dakota brown with black dinamica interior, its a nice color but I got tired of living with a brown car.
Palladium is a best seller, but imo it has a bluish hint that is not my favorite, and looks dull under certain lighting. Metallic black is great but also a pain to keep clean.
If I could do it all over again, I would go with Iridium silver or white.

I'll second that. Never has a car glistened so under my Texas sun (or shopping mall lights)! In fact, my ML350 has been named "Diamond Jim". But there is a trick I found to make it even better. There is a detailing manufacturer called Duragloss which has a complete line of car care products. You have to order them from places like AutoGeek.com or their own website (you might even find them at a couple retail places like NAPA or Carquest). They have three polishes - 105, 501 and 111. These are sealant polymer based polishes. 501 is the most aggressive (for correction purposes) and actually a marine product. Most new cars won't need this. 105 is milder and works well on Diamond White but my favorite is 111. 111 has virtually no cleaning ability but is pure sealant. It can be added on top of 105 as it will bond to it and add an extra layer of protection in addition to the extra gloss it gives. 111 adds a sparkle to Diamond White that is just beautiful.

All MB colors are pretty but to stand out you must properly polish and seal/wax to protect the paint and bring out the best of the color you choose.

I also found that there is a lot of chrome on the front and back of the car and with other colours, it stood out quite a bit.. I did not want this and with the Diamond white, it balances this very well... very glad that I went for this..

I would go with silver -definitely! I have had dark colors exterior/interior, I find them very hard to keep clean. The dark seats and carpet are very hard to keep clean, the seats look faded after a while. I just sold my 2011 GL 350 which was silver/light interior - just loved it.

All the best!

Diamond White is breathtaking. Night or day it just gets stared at all the time. The pearl effect seems to mesmerize people. Doesn't really look too dirty unless going through mud. A good paint sealant and there's nothing that comes close.

Brown exterior will have the worst resale value.

Palladium Silver on Tobacco Brown is a beautiful build combo.

Steel grey? I wonder how that'd look with brown interior.

I'm strongly considering ordering Steel Gray with the Black/Auburn interior, but I wish I could be sure that it would look right. I think the Auburn leather is beautiful, but I really don't want a White, Black or Brown exterior.

2013 MB BTC
We are picking up our Dakota Brown ML350 BTC with almond brown leather and burl walnut tomorrow. It was a no-brainer for us since my wife owns a chocolate shop and the car matches perfectly!

The brown looks amazing in sunlight.
