Problems with wired iPhone connection after iOS 6 upgrade

I'm having a problem with my wired iPod connection with my iPhone 4S since updating it to iOS 6. The command display/control only sees podcasts and not any of the music. anyone else have this problem? Any possible solutions. I'm able to listen using bluetooth audio, but I like being able to control playlists, etc. thru the comand system.

Which update? 6.0.1 or 6.0.2
My iPhone 4 (used as ipod) with 6.0.1 has no problems

No problems with and iPhone 5 or 4S using the wired interface or bluetooth

I think the problem is actually with Itunes Match, when I changed my settings to make sure that the music was actually on my iPhone and not just streamed, it fixed the problem. Hope that helps.
