Question Can we change this?

Just a few points I have asked my dealer without a satisfactory answer, so hopefully someone here can help.

The Airmatic goes into its lowest setting at 130km/h. Can this be adjusted down to a speed at which I might drive? Max interstate speed here is 110km/h, and some other main highways could benefit from a lower COG for the sweeping bends.

Can you adjust the off road level 3 setting to a speed higher than 20km/h? That may be fine with German forest tracks but we have roads with washaways and anti erosion humps. To stick to 20km/h is boring. To drive at normal speeds on these tracks 50~70km/h and stop wait for the height to rise at every hump is also boring.

Can we adjust the speed at which the auto high beam shuts off? Most annoying when you slow down for a bend and "where did the road go?". I live in an area with narrow roads, tight bends and plenty of "fresh air corners". It is pointless to have them dip when I need them most.
I know I can switch from "Auto" to "Headlamps", but this negates the feature of Auto headlamps.

These may be trivial gripes, but I paid a lot for this car so I likes things to be perfect.

They're all very interesting points you raise. I'll be quite interested to see the replies from other members about this. Cheers

ML350 BT soon......pleeeease. GOT IT NOW....Wooooo
I want the height down at 90kmh for freeway driving.
Have been considering the rentech lowering module solution, but that and the others still just run a height program that is related to speed. Also, you need to hook up to computer or phone to alter height settings.
I want to be adaptive to conditions as I see them and simply adjust with a knob or switch.
Nothing I can find yet, does this.

The alternative is to modify the lengths of the sensor links to a lower set base figure. ....much cheaper, but I would prefer fully adjustable from the cab of course.

We do have the adjustment knob in the cab (button only without On&Off road) but that gives a choice of 3 positions only. Yet the vehicle has 5 positions.

Altering the sensor links would either raise or lower, but not both.

Drive the bloody thing enjoy it. LOL
Worry too much about so many variables. MB has what they tested and you get the gain of. I'm sure there is no measurable gain to aero efficiency in lowering before 130km or it would happen. One of the reason I avoided airmatic variables with no or too many controls. But I'm sure many things would be nice good luck budds. I would love the cornering light funtion in Canada its supposed to be there but not. AHA works great otherwise. Have fun friends.

thank you.......for reminding me. It is all too easy to get carried away with wants and wishes......especially with a 5 month wait.

All my life I have said "if you want a fast horse, buy a fast horse. It's easy and cheaper than training a slow horse".
Counting down.....another 6 weeks to go

Haha so true. I used to work with horses so that makes total sense to me!!
Yes, 5 months sucks, I've actually waited almost 6 months now, and it's about 3 weeks away I'm told. Ship is currently about a third of the way between Panama & Brisbane, then into Melbourne around the 27th-28th. Dealer also asked me today if I wanted 2013 compliance and of course I said yes, so they're going to hold off until 2nd Jan to do it. So that also means 2013 model on my rego label also .. much better for resale.

Ian - I came across this on the RENNtech website (RENNtech V3 Digital Suspension Lowering Module for Mercedes) and remembered your post from last year. Might be of interest, link below.

Pretty complicated setup if you need to log in via a tablet etc. Might be okay for a track car.
All I wanted was to be able to twist the knob for an extra setting whilst on the go.
