2012 BTC software updates?
I am about to take my 2012 Blutec in for it's 20k mile service.
I have read the 2013 has less noticeable turbo lag. Is this a software upgrade I can or should ask for ?
Are there any other updates I should be aware of ?

I would suggest you sing up for free registration with Mercedes Owners Online under Owners Support at mbusa.com.
When you checkin for service - the dealer will take the VIN# (actually the last 7 digits) and go into the Mercedes "VMI" record for your car to see if there are any outstanding updates or campaigns.
If you are registered with Owners Online - then you would get email notification directly form MB.
