How many miles before Adblue (DEF) fill up?

How many miles before Adblue (DEF) fill up?
Guys I'm approaching 13,000 miles and still haven't needed to fill the Adblue. I'm interested in hearing from others how many miles were driven before getting the warning. I really wish there was a gauge telling me how full the tank is. Thanks for your answers.

You are right about there - and once it pops you have about a 1500 mile "safety zone" - but after that is used you will come to a limited # of starts before the truck locks down.
2.5 gallons of quality DEF fluid are cheap - generally "about" a 4 gallon fill - but start scooping getting a nice strong flashlight for the fill - you don't want to make a mess - and you don't want to overfill/top-off - most of the time the warning will need to be reset ..
