Aimatic malfunction
Well, after 6 months of spotless record, I got an Airmatic malfunction warning today. Went away after each restart but reappeared after driving. System seems to be working fine, so may be erroneous warning. Time for a checkup.

Happened to me in my 2013 ML550 3 times already. Took it into service after the 2nd time, they flashed the computer with an air suspension update. Although the 2nd time it happened to me. I pulled over, lifted the car, drove it around lifted for about 5 minutes, then parked it and lowered it and the warning went away.
I think that sometimes when you drive through a weird pot hole, in my cars case i think it blows the front left wheels air suspension/ or it leaks out when you go over a pot hole. But after refilling the airbag with air, it seems to be fine.

Happened to me about 5 months after getting mine. The front end of the ML was drooping and it turned out to be a leak in the shock that was replaced. Lifting the car didn't help of course and others have reported burning out the pump when there is a failure in the system. My advice is to take it in even if annoying.

So I'm in the same boat today (sigh), got a warning light when in sports mode, interestingly it never comes on when I leave it in comfort...
Could this be the Air compressor not being able to service a higher pressure for the sports modes?
Obviously will be going to see dealer but interested to know if others have seen similar behavior when selecting sports or sports +

Airmatic issue
Well, it turned out my issue was actually with the Active Curve System (leak in line between oil reservoir and pump). Line replaced 6/15 and has worked fine since.

opened bonnet and noticed oil all over the front RH passenger side of the engine bay... maybe same issue for me. Also observed that hitting a hard corner or pothole triggers the warning message in comfort mode. here's hoping its not a big thing.
