2012 ML350 BleTec
2012 ML350BT Question
Every time I park our 2012 ML350BT in our garage and shut off the engine, I notice the sound of what I believe is a pump somewhere in the back of the vehicle making a purring sound. It lasts for a few seconds and then shuts off. I imagine it to be the pump system for the "AdBlue" system, but was wondering if other "BlueTec" owners have noticed this.
We had a 2010 ML350BT, but I don't recall ever hearing the same sound.

Left rear is where the fuel pump is located.

I think it's the diesel fuel pump. Had the same sound on both my BMW 530dT and MB E350CDI.
