ML550 tune
Hi guys just purchased a 2013 ml550. I love this SUV. I am wondering if anyone can tell me what the difference is between the 2013 ml550 and the GL550. I know there is a horse power difference but why and can I get on my ml. There is almost 30 horse power different. Thanks so much.

I have read a few places that the output is likely the same but they are toning it down on paper for some reason. I did get some info on a tune and here is the email they sent me stating they could push it to 530 hp:

Good afternoon,
Thank you for your interest in a Renntech modified car.
We do offer a great ECU/Computer reprogrammingfor the ML550,
that will take the car to 63AMG enginesperformance levels.

Modified Performance:
$2,740
(plus shipping the ECU back andforth from your local shop/dealer)
Best regards
George

And i believe it'll be hard to get the factory GL550 tune in your ML550. That ECU is programmed for that car specifically, meaning (when they program the ECU, they take into account the overall car weight, which is more than the ML550).
So im thinking your best bet will be to go with RennTech as MLBLUE posted earlier.
I raced my buddy with his 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 a couple weeks ago from a 30mph roll, up to about 130mph. Won by about 3/4-1full car length. My point being, this car is a beast even for it being stock!!! And a big head turner as well. Enjoy.
