Best and easiest way to hardwire a radar

I am looking to hardwire my radar to the car. Has anyone done this before? What would be the easiest and safest way to do it? I've hardwired stuff before on my other cars, but considering this is my first new benz, would like to get some direction? I would actually like to eventually hardwire rear armrest monitor and a DVR as well. Should I hardwire to the battery under the passenger seat(seems like very convenient location and easy to hide wires) or the fusebox under the rear bench using the "add a line fuse"? I ve actually never used the add a line fuse but it does look really easy so maybe should just use that way?

I had trouble finding a switched fuse for my detector. I ended up wiring to the glove box light. We easy, and turns off with car.

Paid My local stereo shop to directly wire my Valentine 1 to the overhead light console, for $29. It turned on when I start up the car. Works great!

Manufacturer recommends that we use their plugs, but this works for my passed 5 cars...

It was very easy to do in my X6 where I wired it into the rearview mirror. Has anyone done this for a GL?

There is no connector plug into the back of the mirror as many vehicles have..the mirror is wired from above...see my recent post on removing o/h console and wiring it there
