Bonus Depreciation
Does anyone know if the 2014 ML qualifies for the over 6,000 gross weight requirement? As I understand it, if the car is less than 6,000, your first year depreciation max is $11,360. If the SUV is over 6,000, the max is $25,000 for year one. I'm in between the ML 550 and Range Rover Sport but these Range Rovers are impossible to find and I am concerned that the bonus depreciation will not be extended in 2014.

Yes, both the ML and the GL "qualify" for 6000lb GVLW requirement for IRS Section 179 - but your tax accountant needs to confirm that you meet the IRS use requirement for business/professional use.
