ML350 Sport Package - Is it worth it?
Hi
Non of the dealers I have been to have this package on their inventory stock. I am starting to wonder if it is worth the $2500 price tag just for some extra body styling. Any thoughts?.
Anyone been lucky enough to compare side by side. Does it make a big difference to the look of the Vehicle?
TIA

Something i have noticed on photographs, and i may be wrong. If you have the side steps with the sport package you actually lose the AMG body styling down the side that you're paying for?. Can anyone confirm?

The most interesting is that I've never seen ML350 with AMG sport package with AMG rocker panels instead of running boards. On ML550 (which has AMG sport package as standard) has running boards as standard too. Only on ML63 I've seen AMG rocker panels (looked great, btw). Does anyone know if anyone (I suppose with ML350 and AMG sport package) actually replaced running boards with AMG rocker panels? I'd love to know.

Thanks. Car looks so much better without running boards especially when equipped with the AMG sports package (in addition to being easier to get in and out). Wish it were possible on my car (dealer said impossible on ML550), hence I asked if anyone replaced running boards with AMG rocker panels and if so how difficult was it.

Well IMO you're paying mostly for significantly more aggressive front bumper and AMG wheels and only then for somewhat upgraded rear valance and the rocker panels. I find running boards exceptionally out of place on ML IMO. But to answer your original question, now since AMG sport package is readily available, I would not take ML without it (even if AMG rockers are replaced by the running boards).

Then likely wrapping the chrome front and rear in a carbon fiber wrap. Lastly I might lower it by an inch depending on how it looks thus far.
Wow you got everything I got, except I don't have the rear heated seats (kids boosters) and active curve. (I got the regular air suspension). I priced out both but for 5k more with all similar options, really wanted the twin turbo v8

I ordered the 19 inch rims though since I'm putting on ml63 knock offs in 22".

I like the way the sport package vehicles look but with that said for a $2.5k price tag I'd not get it unless I was looking at a car sitting on the lot with it and could not wait to order something how I'd want it. The look is just not worth that much to me. I actually had one sales person try to talk me out of a potential ML550 sell via using the logic of well you can just get a ML350 with the Sports Package. The guy did not seem to understand I was looking for an ML550 simply because of the added power and ultimately still decided not to get one.
