Active Parking Assist available or not?

Hi W166 users. I have got my ML350 (MY2013) few months ago after waiting 4 months. When I ordered it I was sure that I did not asked for Active Parking Assist. Last day, I was parking my car and having detected a suitable parking spot it suddenly asked me if I want to use the Active Parking Assist with a graphics on the display. Since then I was not able to get it back again even though I tried just like it is described in the owner's manual.

So, the question is if I actually have the Active Parking Assist or not. If not how come I have received this message? Can it be possible that actually Active Parking Assist is available but because I did not order the car with it, it is disabled in the computer? Maybe I can ask my workshop to activate it with a small price
Has anyone got a similar experience

If you have parktronic you will have park assist. But the best way to find out is try it and see if it works.

I have the parktronic but I didn't know that I had the Active Parking Assist. Because it was a separate item in the list and I did not chose it to save some cost. I have it in my VW Tiguan and I never used it. Nobody behind has enough patience to wait for your car to find a suitable parking place and then park itself in a big city

Anyway, I will try to find out

Thanks Fabbrisd1. I actually find out that I have got the Active Parking Assist. Now the problem is I cannot use it here in UAE because there is no parallel parking I have to wait until I ship my car to Europe!

X350d GLE500e 2017, ML350 BlueTec 2012(sold), A200 2013, ML350CDI 2009(sold), Aston Martin DB7 2003
I have tried it a few times. It has worked twice.
The other times I may have moved the steering wheel slightly, as I pushed the OK button.
Instead of parking, it asks if I want to change some settings! AARGH!

Once the system determines there is enough room to park there will be an indicator next to the parking symbol on the instrument panel. Hit ok, turn on the turn indicator(blinker) and the system should take over the steering from there, you still will have to brake and throttle. I have used it in both GLs and MLs and has worked fine,
