Own 2014 ML 350 BT
Almost 50K on it, visiting MB dealer quite often just to do an oil change, every 5K even MB maintenance boor recommends after 10K.
Troubles free car. Its our family cruiser.
P.S. Bi-Xenon light is the worst I ever seen, Im looking my option to replace original bulbs with something better.

2012 Mercedes-Benz S350 BlueTEC 2013 ML350 BlueTEC
So far so good on my CPO 2013 ML350 Bluetec. Came from the dealer without an issue, and not a single problem yet. It's an absolute pleasure to drive. Love the diesel...
Would like to get what originally came with the vehicle, anyone know how? The VIN look up tool on this site was helpful, but did not give me a list of everything that was originally purchased for the vehicle. Thank you.
Jeff
PS: W166, 2013 ML350 and the VIN is 4JGDA2EB3DA243849 if you can help...

Loving my ML 350 4 matic. Dealer replaced rear flex disc, oil pan gasket and transfer case gasket NO charge [warranty work]. Dealer got my Mbrace working and cigar lighter working so I can re-charge 2 cell phones NO charge [warranty].
Had to replace main onboard battery [out of pocket].
It is a pleasure to drive. It cruises at 90-100 mph so smooth it is like sitting still.

Did 50K service yesterday, wet spots are back. They said its rubber plug and recommending do nothing about. Because MB will not pay for it because its not significant.

Got our '14 ML350 CPO on 9/20/16 with 30k on the clock. Within the first week the easy entry failed along with the illumination of the running boards. We bought the car 135 miles away from home as it was what we wanted. So we took it to the local dealer who fixed the problems in one day. Coupler in steering wheel broke. Fuse for the illumination was loose. No problems since in 2k miles. To the poster about the seat color, that is one of the colors MR uses if you get heated and cooled front seats which we have. The purchase was the deal of the century. Car had an MSRP of $68,300 and it is not 4matic. Dealer gave mid range KBB value for wifey's '13 Infiniti M37s. Plus $18k cash and we were out the door. Did all the negos by text and email. In and out in 1 hr 15 mins.

MB sucks
My wife's ML350 has only 21,000 on it. 2013 model year bought new. Both front struts need replacing due to a rattling noise I hear. Dealer says about $2K to replace them and warranty is expired due to age of car. What recourse do I have to get these replaced by MB since the struts should last more than 21,000 miles.???
This car is a pain and never again will I buy MB again. Had to replace the computer, a bunch of sensors and little crap in only 21,000 miles and now it's struts. MB sucks.

My '15 ML-250 BT has been flawless. We have 24k on the odometer and have never had a tank of fuel that got less than 30MPG, except once towing a trailer to and from Florida we only got 24.5. It's been to FL. twice and is very comfortable to drive and ride in.

My MB is gone. Too many problems with only 22,000 miles. Sorriest car we ever had.
Trading for a Honda Ridgeline that is coming in next week. Never again get a MB and the customer service at MBUSA sucks as well.

I have a 2012 ML with 112K miles on it. Overall a great car and most reliable car I've owned with >100k miles. I drove it cross country (NYC->SF and back last summer) and would do it again without hesitation. I never had a breakdown.
Here are the various problems I had:
- Random stalling issues the few yrs when stopping after exiting highway. Software upgrade in 2014 virtually resolved it (still happens on rarely).
- Electronic trunk door needed to be replaced (under warranty).
- Radiator developed leak at 50k miles and needed to be replaced (under warranty).
- Engine mounts were replaced 2x (once at 50k under warranty and the 2nd time at 110k). Happened on my Acura MDX too at 90k miles.. Relatively common with SUV's from what I've heard plus I drive a lot on bumpy roads in NYC.
- Transmission mount was replaced at 110k miles.
- MB Tex has tear/holes on driver's seat and I'm just living with it. Never again will I ever get a Mercedes with MB Tex (leather was not available when I bought it).
I upgraded the headlights from the factory installed ones... Slightly better but my next car will have LED lights (current ones are way too dim in comparison). I change oil and rotate tires every 10k at dealer. Transmission fluid changed at 40k/70k/110k... I changed tires at 45k/90k (same as original factory installed tires).

Sorry black sheep here. Have a 2013 ml350 bluetec. Bought it as CPO with 38,000 miles , now I have 54,000 after a little more then 1 yr. Love the car on highway and when sitting still. Honestly...very, very , very disappointed with MB. Suspension feels loose, and interior rattles and clicks. Dealer keeps saying its within MB specs. But thats ok, I understand, its a large suv and not brand new. But also lots of little things keep breaking. I'm have a on-going service visit with the dealer every two months. Just off the top of my head... running board light, engine light (limp mode), window washer sensor (twice), tail gate memory position (twice), DEF heater, turbo gasket, sunroof both deflector and not closing, right brake light (twice). Thats at least nine visits in 13 months. Still a bunch of suspected issues that they claim is still under MB specs until CPO warranty ends and I will bet issues will suddenly be obvious.
So hanging tight until we learn more about this possible emissions cheat. If like VW and they offer bluetec owners a decent buyback package.....DONE. Good bye MB forever.
So now Audi Q7 or Acura MDX is on my radar.
Trouble-free survey with people replying after 10,000 on the odometer is like asking if Chinese food fills you up as people are walking out of the restaurant.

Bought my 2013 used a year ago. I have not even been to the dealer yet. I keep looking for an excuse to visit dealer as my warranty is still good for 6 months. The car has been trouble free and my only visit was to my indie for a state inspection. I'm really enjoying this car. It is such an upgrade from my Ford Explorer.

Issues?
My 2012 has 48k miles and will be 5 years old in July. Not many issues. Leak in Active Curve hydraulics was fixed under warranty. In for service today and flex disc is being replaced (that seems kind of early). I've had the first of each generation of ML and will probably get an '18 next year.

Traded it in at a huge loss. Bye bye MB. I cant keep going to the dealer every month. This month, it would have been a repeat visit for the hatch still not closing properly.
There are many things MB does right. I will miss cruising down the highway in comfort, safety, and convenience, but worrying about how much and when the next repair or visit to the dealership is overwhelming. Was asking for two straight months of trouble-free driving too much to ask from MB?
Sure, their service reps and service facilities are first class....but I rather not be there to begin with.
Thanks everyone...this site has been super helpful.

What did you get instead? How many miles was on the car?
Did you try to visit another dealer or indy shop?
Anything serious had happened to your car, like oil cooler leak or AdBlue hitter failed?

Wow! After four pages, I'm torn on my opinion of the ML350.
I've been baby-sitting a 2013 ML350 BT for a week now. My neighbor's mom is suffering from Alzheimer's and can no longer drive. I took it in to the dealer for an inspection and for any SB's, of which there were none.
Truck has 10,000 miles on it, is on an extended mostly bumper-to-bumper warranty 'till October 2018 and a powertrain warranty 'till Oct 2019.
The truck is mint other than a rear pass door and rear bumper skirt. MB wants $5k to repair the damage, my perfectionist body-shop tells me it will be like new for +/- $1500. No paint chips/dings anywhere, the damned thing still smells like new inside. She rides like she's on a cloud and other than a too buttery-soft steering wheel response (which wider wheels/tires would partially cure), I can find no faults.
I figured this was the deal of a lifetime, but some of you guys are scaring the bejesus out of me....

I have a 2015 ML400. Purchased brand new in Sept of 2014. Currently at 49k miles. I have had a 99% positive experience. The issues I have encountered are:
1. My wife loves the car so much she didn't let me drive it so I had to get myself a CLS550
2. People, are not courteous and when they see an MB, any MB, they feel like they have to accelerate rather than merge or be courteous. My brother in law has similar issues w his BMW and my coworker w his Land Rover.
3. The center console cubby door broke so it was replaced under warranty. They gave me a loaner Jaguar F pace for 3 days. Not bad.
4. A piece of door trim developed a hairline crack. It was replaced under warranty.
5. A $$70k plus car shouldn't have cheap plastic door pins. I replaced w AMG dooor pins myself.
6. A rock hit the LED daytime driving light. Not under warranty so I had to fix that out of pocket. I had a loaner 2017 E300 for 3 days.
7. Because of that darn 2017 E300 I fell in love w the new tech so today I traded in the ML 400 for a 2017 GLE AMG 43. Of course it's for the wife. She already told me she didn't want to share
In all seriousness, it has been a great car for us. No major issues. Get the wheel and tire protection, it comes in handy. Yes maintenance is expensive but what are you going to do? It's an MB and it drives awesome. I recommend these cars highly.
