Owners manual on iPad/iPhone
For my 2012 BlueTec I downloaded the owner's manual and placed it on my iPad. To me, much more convenient than having to thumb through the book(s).
You could also place it on an iPhone or the equivalent. The manual would always be in your pocket.

I have two remotes and each one has the removable mechanical key in it. No Valet key. No mention of a Valet key anywhere in the Owners Manual that I can find.

That's what it is on my '07 E550... you lock the glove box and the trunk deadbolt with it THEN give the "fob" key to the valet, which prohibits access to those areas by a valet.

I believe the idea is to use the metal key to lock the glove box and give the fob to the valet...

I guess I have to take my statement about having a seep rate valet key back. I guess I do not have one even though I am sure I had one. She who must be obeyed can not even find it. So Dutch, you are not crazy, I don't think there is a separate,one.

If bought from a Mercedes dleaer under CPO - then CPO means you do get hard copy manual/binder and two keys - if bout from a non-MB dealer then all bets are off.
Correct - NO separate valet key - for glove box security you lock with key and give valet the remote/only. For rear hatch valet/locking - which is as silly as it sounds - check manual.
