In my opinion, the design and material of the interior are better than the ML but not as good as the GL. Fit especially exterior panel definitely need some work.

Btw, I get the 14 ways seat and they are to die for..... carry over from the 911. Nothing really fancy about them but there is some magic about how they hug your body. Hard to explain.

The thing I like about Porsche is that even on the lower end engine offerings, you can still opt up the car with most if not all the options offered on higher end models; something not offered on its German rivals. Take the ML350 Bluetec for example, if you wanted soft close doors, you'd have to spring for the 550 or 63. Really annoys me cause some people want the more economical engines but want and are willing to pay for the options from the higher end models.

I assume you don't know mercedes well. ML and GL have the exact same interior material and design even the front seat size. The quality just depend on the equipped option such as Leather package, sport package.

And there's also option for seat, called "Multicontour seat". I think its same as what you called 14 ways seat in porsche.

Perhaps he was just comparing the base ML and GL interiors cause the GL comes with a stitched dash as standard but come optional on the Macan and the ML. idk though...

After having multicontour seats in the w221, it's a must for future cars. Well worth the price on the new ML.

Ah, that would be INCORRECT! I have a 2014 ML350 BlueTEC and it HAS Soft Close Doors. It's a "SPC" or Special Order option. By the way, the Soft Close feature works way better on my ML than it did on my 2013 S550.

The folks at the Vance plant do great work. Go 'Bama!

Actually, if you buy a new car you can add that soft close door option on any model for 500 bucks.

Yeah. That's make sense.
Wow for the s class. I'm not sure about w221. I tried the newer model w222. The multic seat is amazing comfort. It's feel much better comparing to the ML's.

Can you expand on that?
Dealer installed?
Parts/labor?

What I mean is you added when you purchase a new car. You can build you own. Just come to any dealer ask for a order guide and choose whatever feature you want to add. The “ordered car” probably take one month to deliver. In that case it‘s only $500.
But if you what to add after the car is delivered which is "in stock" one. It will be cost thousands.

It's not available with the V6s in Canada, but at least the new MLs are a lot better than the old ones since there's designo for them now.

Oh, I meant it's definitely worth ticking off the option for multicontour seats on the ML as they're much better than the standard seats.

Man, you guys in the states are soooo lucky...better prices, better selection of lot vehicles, better selection of CPO vehicles, and most importantly, better options (no MBC in Canada for the S550)

My last four cars are all Mercedes, so I do know a bit about it. Both the GL's and ML's that I looked at were pretty loaded. There were some subtle differences between the ML and GL and the GL interior especially some small details just "feel" better.

No, my dealer is all sold out till October and all the S or Turbo are customer orders and they are not available for test drive. Turbo and the S is pretty much the same car except Turbo goes from 0-60 in 4.4 (compared to 5.2s for the S). If you want a car in the 4's, turbo will be it. There are not many cars/SUV that have that type of performance in the $70k range. Otherwise, I think S is a better value.

Troll? Yes you are. Explain what post count has anything to do with anything. Who cares if you were a member of a free open forum for 8 years. What does that mean? Numbers numbers numbers. Post count, years on here, 0-60 times. Nobody cares but you. I'm sure you started one day with zero posts. But now cause you have more that makes you what? Don't reply back. Have fun with your station wagon.

the ONLY difference between the 2 is the size of the rear cabin. Otherwise the interior is identical.
