2013 ML350 BLUETEC "B" SERVICE

I made a phone call to our local Mercedes dealer to get a quote on a "B" service in Edmonton Alberta. To my surprise the service advisor told me the cost would be $1100 dollars +. Is that pricing correct? Or am I being taken to the cleaners? Is the service "B" a DIY I could do ?
Thanks

Sounds damned high! Mine in Atlanta quoted US$395 plus extra for the DEF and the special BT oil. If I do my own oil and DEF (which I do), it's $275.

Attached is a list of what gets done.

I had a B service completed on my 2013 ml350 bluetec in Calgary 2 months ago for $953. That included cabin air filter replacements as well.

Scarey how 90% do the stuff is just "check and inspect" items with only a few items listed actually are changing or replacing items.

Wow what a price difference between Canada and the States. Almost worth a road trip. Dutch do you or any one else here know how to reset the indicator on the dash if I DIY the B service?

Put the key in ignition fob on position 2 (mileage needs to be displayed on dashboard) hold the "phone pick up" key and the "ok" key on the steering wheel for 10 sec or so and a menu will display on the dash. Just scroll thru it until you see the maintenance event reset options.

I think MB dealership charge way too much in Canada. The worst is advsior don't bother to explain the service cover. I did a A1 service 2 mths ago they want around $600 with brake fluid change. It is crazy. I told them to change oil and filter and brake fluid only total around $300.

if it's your 2nd - B Service, then yes, $1100 is right in the ballpark.

But a normal B service, I think we charge $470

Wow big difference. What else is getting done that's different on the second B service besides the fuel filter?

I just had "B Service" with no oil and filter change, no Adblue and no tire rotation done this AM at 16,000 miles.

$118.47

No idea how it was discounted down from the $395-$120=$275 that I was originally quoted; but I accepted it.
