our ML came without a fuse chart. anyone know which one is for the front lighter? presume it's in the passenger footwell fuse box.

The fuse chart will be located in the fuse box located under the rear passenger seat.

It's not there, and actually the manual says it's in the tool kit. The manual also shows exactly where in the tool kit it's supposed to be located. Our '09 also didn't have one but I found one online and printed it. I left it in the car when we traded it, and I don't remember how I found it, though I have certainly looked.

You must not be located in the US. The 2014 US ML Owners Manual very specifically states on page 395 that the fuse allocation chart is located in the fuse box under the rear bench seat.

In mine it is there, because I've used it.

I'm in the U.S. trying to find switched power for the radar detector. My 2014 ML Operator's manual only has 336 pages, not 395+. Also, even though the manual says it's supposed to be under the seat, it's not there. I went online and found another reference to it being with the spare tire. Not there either. Funny thing, our '09 didn't have one either so I ended up printing one that I found on the web. Can't find one for a '14. Could you look at yours to confirm the cigarette lighter fuse is in the passenger footwell and the #? If not, thanks anyway, and I'll just go to the dealer and buy one otherwise.

I have yet to locate mine either..so for switched power I tapped the rear power supply under the console..it's easy to lift with two torx behind front rubber cover in cubby and two under rubber cover pad inside console

ML350 BLUE TEC
Go to the ML vehicle manual that is displayed on your nav screen. Do a search for FUSE. When you do that then click on the icon for the fuse box under the rear seat (right hand rear seat). Open the lid. There is a folded piece of paper in the front of the box showing the fuses and what they do.

I"ve a 2014 ML350 BLUETEC delivered on Feb 14 and the fuse box and fuse location paper IS there. LOOK for it. The ML manual on the nav screen shows how to access the REAR SEAT fuse box. Been there, done that.

The fuse box is under the cushion on the right hand side or the rear seats. Rotate said cushion fwd and there it is.

I guess he neglected to lift the carpet flap that covers the fuse box.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.

Perhaps my post wasn't clear. Of course I located the fuse box after I lifted the carpet and the fuse box cover. What I said, or meant to say, was that along with the fuses there was no chart. Nevertheless, the biggest help was from Nanook about a source for switched power. Thanks. I had previously removed the ceiling console panel since it would be closer to the detector, but found no switched source there.

There is power in the roof console but it times off eventually like "x" minutes..anyways I ran a line from elbow console to a plug block at the passenger fuse panel ( used it for other devices)..then your detector line to mirror area will reach and chasing it up the "a" pillar is simple..just press it in with screw driver..feeds very easy..you don't even need to remove the pillar cover

Look for fuse 148 or 149 in the box under the rear seat.
It is a 15amp fuse.
When looking from standing on the outside of passenger door it is in the section closest to you and closest to the rear of the car.
I just ran the wire from there to the windshield to have power for my cell phone dock.

Well, my book goes only to page 265, lot of the instrument pictures are also different!

The fuse chart isn't glued to the inside of the fuse box (like most manufactures do) ; its folded up into a tiny sheet of paper stuffed inside the fuse box under the rear passengers seat. So if you had trouble finding it (like me) its not because your stupid; its because MB put it in the hardest to find place possible.

Also, the fuse for the cigarette lighter is 148 (under the rear passendger seat fuse box and its in the lower left corner)
