Does the ML (63) report low oil

Does the ML (63) report low oil
Frank is due for service B in 1200kms and is getting low on oil and I don't have any on hand and rather not add a $20.00 jug this soon before a change in a week or two...so does the DIC advise when to add ? I know on some car models it does but can't find anything in the book regarding this..

I think it has to be pretty low to report, like a drop in oil pressure low. a 9L system and the distance on the stick is only two quarts from the add to the fill line. a quart costs you six bucks...

If your low oil light comes on.... I would park the car immediately.
How much oil does your car burn? With my black amg I added one quart in 17k ( but that includes an oil change at 5k and 10k so I might have missed some consumption.

Just for yuks I checked the oil in my CLK63 last night and I was down almost two quarts! thanks for the reminder!
