Running board is not entirely useless. I use mine on the drivers side, but never on the passenger side.

They keep the dirt off the sides

I find that the running boards usually keep the amount of dirt down for the side of the truck.

I like the styling theme of the new AMGs.

My wife uses the running boards all the time, first on the ML550, and now on the GL550.

2015 ML400
Personally not a big fan of the new design. Just bought my ml400 in March and was doubting the decision after I heard the news about GLE. However, upon further review I think the new GLE front is unattractive. Kind of b@st@rd child look between GLA and old W166 ML. The wheelbase supposed to be longer even though the overall length is the same. That probably means the trunk space got smaller which is less desirable.

Wheelbase is the same. It's the GLE Coupe that's slightly longer.

Soon: 2020 G63 Currently: 2016 GLE63 SUV + 97 F250HD, Before: 2013 G550, Range Rover Sport, 1984 CJ7
Anyone have driving experience in the GLE63?

Seeking buying advice on the GLE 63 (not the s, not the coupe). I currently am in a 2013 g550 and looking to buy for a more sporty ride, something that drives straight with less user input, and is a bit quieter when I want it to be, and louder when I step on it. Basically looking for a highway hauler from my frequent 200mile drives with wife.

Any advice or thoughts I can find on youtube or the forums?
