Not So Thrilling Voice Recognition on Nav 2015 ML350

Anybody else feel there is Not So Thrilling Voice Recognition on Nav when inputting addresses? Do you find there are a lot of incorrect address conversions from the spoken word to what appears on the screen?

I trained the individualization to my voice, but later deleted it as it was no more accurate. I end up having to input the town first then the street then the house number as individual voice commands with not so adequate results.

I do feel as if it works better when I speak more quickly, in a conversational tone, rather than trying to enunciate more clearly... particularly with numbers.

It works very well for me. When it's wrong I'm surprised.

I'm with you! I'll admit that 'training' was my next trial..... I found as well that city, street, number, was working for me! I'm disappointed that the training did nothing.... Good to know that speaking more quickly is more successful! My tongue was trying a Latin twist to no avail! Lol!

Most of the time mine works good, however, on a recent cross country trip it simply could not recognize one address. Some of the addresses it came up with made us laugh

My gripe with it is when I get close to my destination (sometimes), it will say "You are entering an area where turn-by-turn directions are not available." It's done this more than a few times in smaller cities, even though the destination weren't anywhere off the beaten path. One was actually in a downtown area.

Also... entering town only, then street, then house number each separately works on misunderstood all at once addresses. I have screamed Fck You many times in exasperation.

Also, when you place a call by voice, by name ("Call so and so"), the "girl" talks too much with unnecessary identifications before initiating the call.

In my 07 E550 I wouuld say "dial name" It would say Name Please, I would say the voice tag and the call would initiate and switch to the phone screen all at once and ring. No talkback about "dialing... Mobile"...

...much faster.

Putting this in context, surveys indicate that all manufacturers are having complaints about voice recognition. We we riding in my daughters Buick Enclave and could not get it to recognize what seemed to be a simple command.
