ML/GLE WITHOUT Running Boards, Need Pic Please

I removed my running boards and put the AMG rocker panels in place to match the sport package I have. They sent me the jack pads to put in place, but there is a large area around the jack pad that seems to require a trim piece which they did not send.

Can someone without boards take a pic of the jack pad area and post up for me please? Appreciate it.

having done the same thing, i.e. removing the running boards and installing standard rockers. The running boards had a large two piece jack pad. It was built up to go mate up the the running boards since they hang lower than normal rockers. If you look at the pads that came with the running boards, you can see they are two pieced. The running board pads are snapped around the rocker panel pads. You will see tabs on inside where you and separate them. The problem I had was when the body shop took off the running boards they removed the pads. I soon realized there was a space in the rocker for a pad . I realized the running board pad was too large to fit the cut out space for the rocker panels. Then I realized that it was two pieces and took them apart and now the center or smaller pad fits exactly in the cut out for the rocker panel. One other problem, I could not find any way to attach the smaller pad to the car. While at the Mercedes dealer, with a mechanic and the car on a lift, I showed him the problem and he could not fix it. So what I did was wire brush the frame where the pad goes and use contact glue to hold the jack pads. What I did was put the glue on the pads and then use a floor jack to hold the pad tightly against the frame . I just went to the garage and check the car and they are still attached. You can PM me you email address or phone number and I can send you pictures of the pad.
