Trailer hitch (Class III) $575
I did not order this option... does this mean I do not have a hitch for my bike rack? I usually carry bikes on back of car so not having to load them up top.
I suspect that this is just a heavy duty package - but can someone confirm? That'd be a bummer if I didn't get a hitch! Doh.

Hi Kassmann - thanks for your reply. Do you mean to say that the GLE63 does not come with a hitch adapter for a bicycle rack?

To my knowledge, no. You have to order it or if you buy the car off the lot the dealer, or some one, had to check that box to have it added.. You can possible find an aftermarket one but it will probably be considerable more expensive. I've seen a few people say they found aftermarket ones but I think they said they paid more for it. It was a $575 option on my 400.

One of the best values on the option sheet, even if you don't have any plans to tow. To have it done properly, hardware and SAM unit/electronics, is around $2k. Cheaper if you're only planning to attach a bike rack and do just the hitch.

Fortunately - my build is in progress so I just added it. Hate how it sticks out the butt, tho but will need it.
