this silver plastic, how to fix squeaking?
P.S. How hard is to remove the whole center console? Thinking to take it to upholstery and make it more soft or wrap in leather.
OK. This may sound crazy, but the area to the left of your left red line [where my right knee leans] squeeked like crazy. I pried the joint apart enough to get the red nozzle of a wd40 in and I sprayed it. PROBLEM SOLVED, Hope this helps.

It stoped but, is it a right way to fixing it?
All chrome plastic inserts are very cheep, wish to replace them with something else.
WD40 took care of many squeaks.
I had a squeak coming from the pic you indicated. What I did was squirt some wd40 onto a business card or matchbook and ran the card into the seams. The card will bend and lube any hard plastic to plastic contact.
Go from underneith...where the black meets the silver cover.
It will also work on face plate that frames the entertainment console.
