Blinking alarm light

Just checked our ML, no flashing light. Our X6 doesn't have any flashing light either, if I recall correctly.
On the other hand our FJ with aftermarket alarm definitely has one. I'm guessing that the flashing light is indicative of an aftermarket alarm.

sometimes depending on what light is next to the car when it is parked you cant see it, its not obvious to the naked eye unless your parked somewhere dark

I checked it in our garage at 4:25 am when it was dark outside and the lights off. Do you have a blinking light? If so, what color and where?

yes i do, check the panel where the options are, the parktronic button, the DSC (4matic), heated (or cooled) seats, around that area, you have to look around and its red color

Oh Jesus, I never looked there. Though in a jet-black garage, I can't imagine not having seen a bright red LED flashing away....
Our ML is at the shop getting wrapped. We should be getting it back either Friday or Saturday. You can be sure I'll be checking for that light and then reporting back.
