New to me ML63
Just traded a 2014 Audi S8 for a CPO 2014 ML63 that was at a local dealer. About 39k miles and nicely optioned. We took it on about a 500 mile road trip with an average 75-80 mph [in theory of course], which yielded 18.5 mpg. Overall I am happy with the truck. Not as fast as the S8, but few four doors are. Will probably chip it through Renntech and would like to swap out the running boards for stock side skirts. My only question right now is do the OEM Rear mud flaps fit the ML63?

Congratulations!
Your new car looks nice.
I’m surprised you went from a supersedan to this (super)truck, I have dreamed of owning an ML63 before, then test drove it and didn’t like it (it felt slow and not comfortable, after driving a W212 E63). Anyway, the engine is phenomenal. It will become a rocket suv after you tune it.

I actually went from a 2013 Cayenne Turbo to the S8, and then to the ML63. There is no basis for comparing the S8 to the ML63 because they are obviously totally different. Probably the only thing that they have in common is over 500hp. I decided that I really needed the roof rack for mountain biking. If it was a pain in the *** to load up the bike, I would make excuses not to go. Once I convinced myself of that, the S8 didn't last long. The ML63 is not slow by any measure but it would not touch the S8. My butt dyno says that the Cayenne was probably quicker than the ML63 but not as comfortable for any long distance. The other downside to the Cayenne was a massive amount of repair under warranty [transfer case, rear diff, entire variocam unit, etc.]....the last true benefit to the ML63 is that it is about half the cost to insure versus the S8.
