I know my 2015 ML350 retrain signals that are red when either turning or when using emergency Flashers. My experience in the past for other cars from Europe or UK is that they all have amber turn signals. Can anyone across the pond answer this for me . Send me a photo of you ML taillights. I liked to replace mine with those. I did it on my Mini cooper, I think the amber/yellow rear turn signals are easier seen. Thanks.
I checked my tail lights (ML350 BT 2014), this should be the same as the European/UK version, this is a South African right hand drive version. The rear lights are LED, indicators/hazard are LED, brake lights and reverse lights are incandecent. Mist light, right side only is LED. I assume the connectors are the same, if you want I’ll remove the junctions and take photos if you want. The indicators are amber as you suspected.
I've sent in requests to Mercedes for original parts but they require a VIN number, for the W166 I used my own and I'll get a VIN from a parking lot over the weekend to get a price for the X164 lights.
So official price from Mercedes-Benz South Africa for ML tail lights (please sit down first):
Inner - R3545.16 each L/R
Outer - R4120.16 each L/R
But I believe you only need the outers, at R12.5/1USD gives you:
$659 for the set
I've asked a few salvage yards for stock and pricing on second hand lights and will send through as soon as I hear back from them. But perhaps these are the best options:
