I recently drove a 2015 GL450 and the electric power steering was so much lighter than what i have on my ml350, yesterday i also drove a 2018 VW atlas and it to has a way lighter power steering is this normal for the ML? Or is something going on hooked it up to my buddy's snap-on scanner and we didn't see any codes for the power steering or any codes as a matter of fact, mine doesn't feel extremely heavy but it does require normal effort to turn while idling, as compared to the two other vehicles which i can use my index finger to turn the wheel when idling

Funny, 'cause we griped about the opposite. Steering too light. Used to sporty SUV's, so the ML was a bit of a bummer. But wider tires helped somewhat.
Curious to see what your solution is.
