Upgrade Steering Wheel

Hi there

I have a 2013 ML 250. One thing I dont like is the steering wheel! Have someone tried to change it from a Mercedes GLE? your not stuck, people in this forum have changed to the sport steering wheel and the newer steering wheels and it'll still work with command. Im considering to do it myself

You sure? When I pulled one off at a pick n' pull, the GLE wiring loom for the SW is completely different re: the number of pins, and the SW is completely different too

I've seen pictures in these forums of it being done, people have even changed to the facelift E-class wheel (3 spoke), Did you try to have it installed? all you have to do is pay for the labor which is like under 100

If anyone is interested , I have a brown leather steering wheel ( only 10,000 miles on it) that I replaced with a wooden one. 2015 ML350 I remember when Mercedes dealer swapped them, there was some issue about the paddle shifts that they had to deal with. Other than that it works OK No airbag, just the wheel.
