New windscreen - lane assist no longer works

Hi - I have just had a new wind screen fitted to my 2014 ML350 (gas/petrol) and have realised my lane assist no longer works . I have had my camera re calibrated afterwards, though this was done in a rush as was end of the day at the MB workshop. It could be that they did not do this correctly or others have suggested that if a non-genuine MB screen was fitted that this could cause problems ... any suggestions before I bring it back to the shop?

MB workshop = dealer or your indie? Either way, if it was working prior, you should bring it back to whomeever did the work.

Yes was working, so either windscreen or camera not adjusted properly. Just wondered if anyone has had problems with features after a new windscreen being fitted.

Had mine replaced a year or so ago. It was done at my home, and I asked the installer if I needed to take the vehicle in to have the camera recalibrated. He said in his experience it was not necessary (he didn't touch or alter the camera) . My lane assist works as before. Have not had any issues.

Check to be sure the feature has not been turned off in the menus.

The lane assist was 'on' when I got it back. Read that you can try turning it off and then on again - did this - still did't work.
Can someone tell me if the lines on the triangular clear area at the top of the windscreen should be straight or on an angle.

Mine is not an MB windshield. It is FUYAO. Worked through my insurance company and by using their suggested installer and replacement they fully guaranteed it and there was no cost. When I called the installer to set up the replacement they needed to know ALL the features I had including lane assist so that the proper windshield was ordered. Not all replacements will work.

Would someone with Lane Keeping Assist please post a photo on this thread of the top of their windscreen (black part) so I can see what it should look like? As fitting the correct screen is crucial! Thanks in advance .. Eddy (New Zealand)

I asked a question 24 hours ago, yet you've failed to answer it. How do you expect to get help if you ignore other members posting questions?

Sorry Mr we47b1 .. but what question? Dealer or Indie is all I can see from you! - It was a dealer as they are the only ones with this equipment. No need to get s#$%&y.

If it was a dealer, then go back, and tell them what happened/what was working before they did the work versus polling an internet forum that doesn't have eyes on the truck

You miss the whole point - I wanted to know if this has happened before to any one else. I wanted to know if an after market, non genuine MB screen makes any difference or not. I want to know what the screen with the lane assist function should look like so I can tell whether or not they fitted the right screen. The glass repairers don't know the MB tech is unsure why it doesn't work etc etc. I don't need the obvious pointed out to me like ..." If it was a dealer, then go back, and tell them what happened/what was working before they did the work" I have booked the vehicle in to be looked at again - obviously, but like to do my own research before hand. I am sure that this forum is a good place for me to start. If you can't answer any of these questions - then please don't reply!

The glass doesn't matter unless you have night vision or the tv tuner. It's the calibration of the camera that does.
