2014 ML350 Code=153500, Do I need to relearn after replacesing the NOx sensors
My parents 2014 ML350 Bluetec had a check engine light on the dash, took it to dealer charged $280 for diagnostic, steep! Found the code 153500 which dealer type in the report saying the NOx sensor UPSTREAM of SCR catalytic reacts too slowly.
Quoted $870 each, plus 2.1hrs of labor @ $180/Hr, that's $870*2+$180*2.1 + tax= $2400.
The dealer has given the following part numbers, 0009053606 upstream, 0009053706 Downstream, they both have a square metal chip/module attached.
But on RockAuto.com they gave out only O2 Sensors, which I don't think is the same as NOx. anyone shed some light on this please~
I purchase a WIS/EPC Program and found the procedures needed to change the NOx sensors, but I can't find anything on Reset/relearn/readaptation, nor can I find the code 153500.
ps: just got another quote from MB in Seattle, roughly $1800USD for both, labor included.
