2015 ML400 brake pads
About 95000 km on the factory pads. I replaced the rotors as well as they had developed a pronounced lip on the edge. Went with Centric Powerstop with the black coating.
I will say the original brakes were perfectly strong and smooth up until the end. Let's hope the new set is as nice.

I'm trying to find pads for the rear as well. Akebono does not seem to make them.

I replaced my rear brake pads with Akebono 1630a.
I don't believe these are the correct parts, however. The pad holder clips were not the correct size. The pads looked identical to the OEM so I went ahead and used them and inserted them into the original hold clips which looked fine.
I don't expect to have to replace these rear pads anytime soon, but should I have to - it won't be with the ones I bought. I'll want new clips by then. Perhaps the correct part is Akebono 1630? But my rotors are not slotted.
Vital to remember to retract the parking brake following the dashboard instructions. I wasted an hour not realizing this wondering why I could not push the piston back into new pad position.

Take a micrometer and measure the thickness of your rotors.
The 1630A are for the ML 350 without the AMG Sports package. These have thinner rotors, 330mm thickness for the rear rotors. While the 1630 are for the AMG Sports package with the 350mm rotors. I believe the pads are essentially the same. I had the opposite problem when I did my rear pads, I ordered the 1630A pads but was shipped the 1630 pads. In the end returned the pads and re-ordered the 1630A, but as a safety margin, I also ordered disc brake hardware kit so ended up with a spare set of clips.
