There has to be a procedure to replace any bulb. Factory does not have to get involved. Learn from threads out here like I am as to how to do it. I need to change the turn signal bulb in my car and it can't be that hard that a factory technician can only do it.
I think you access through the wheel well.
Either there is a panel to open or you remove the inner liner.
I haven't looked specifically at mine for that.
Which one needs to change? Do h have the bi xenon package?
This isnt the the bi-xenon, the assembly, although its the same shape, completely different.
OP.. i would do the following. Go to pep boys, they'll show you which bulbs you need, but i dont know if they'll do the install (in which you'll only need to pay the labor which is cheap).
OR.. you can go straight to MB dealer
Looked into this for mine. UK car 2014 ML250 W166 RHD
There are two bulbs per Headlamp
Got at through the bottom of the head lamp
the inner wing panel has to be opened ( the access panel in the liner only gives you access to the Headlamp dip bulb H7 )
The bottom panel/liner has to be opened on the side you are working on ...there is a youtube video for a showing a similar access (not specifically for an ML though) and there is only one bulb not twoas in the ML
two indicator bulbs each holder secured by two (Torx20) screws
The Bulbs also are non standard being a complete Halogen Bulb and Holder Unit held in place by the double screws (Torx 20) in the bottom plate and so require 'fishing out' with long nose pliers or similar
Not the quickest way to change a Bulb ( 12 v 24W Py24W Amber -but check £18 ish in UK ) and perhaps why two bulbs per unit ... you can see why they want you to go to a dealer ! but manageable
