Has anyone tried this ML to GLE tail light retrofit?

you may wanna check with @christheswede, he did a ML to GLE rear lamp assembly conversion, and there is like one other user that did a ML to GLE facelift with the rear light assembly. If i find the links to
the specific threads i'll post it.

see the following:

and this thread:

these users will point you in the right direction

Thank you. I have seen and followed those threads before. I am specifically asking if anyone has tried this kit. I am aware Chris sells a similar kit but that kit is $1500 or so. I am also not looking to buy the lights and do all sorts of rewiring, that is why this kit seems appealing.

The thing is if you do it, you will have to rewire the whole thing even if you have the kit. The bulbs are completely different and the reverse lamp is located on the left pane of the assembly, not the middle as it is in the ML.
I would also consider reaching out to @we47b1me as he has done the ambient lighting (package 870) retrofit on his ML250, and he can give you some insight into the wiring.

Well the point of this kit with the included harness (probably the harness has built in error cancelers) that its plug and play minus the 1 wiring modification for the reverse lamps.

In this case i would just message those users that i mentioned or try other mercedes forums. I wouldnt take any risky moves though because you dont wanna ruin the warranty.
On the other hand, if you really like the facelifted GLE, just wait to get one with the features you like, you can get a CPO W166 with features more than what your going to get by just adding a kit. Just me though
