W166 360 Camera Control Unit
Hi All
I'm a newbie member but been using your site for info for quite a while, so thanks for this great site!
I need some help with my ML 250, the 360 camera stopped working and after dealer service checked they advised I need replace the 360 camera control unit and they want big$$ for that,
Has anyone had this issue any ideas how to fix this or alternative way to replace the ECU, and also where is this ECU located in the car so I can see what is the exact model to look for second hand, thanks for your help,

Thanks Chassis, the part # given to replace is 0009001407 Control unit.
Basically the 360 camera just stopped, they tried resetting the program and upgrade software but the ECU apparently is just dead. that is all the details I have from them, thanks for your help,

Please post your VIN so someone can look up the replacement procedure.

You don't just ask/demand for help and it magically appears...
We all have day jobs....
You can go to a mechanic with STAR and VEDIAMO and get charged $200 an hour, or be patient.

Use the search engine on this site, and google. Google finds things on websites that aren't found using the native forum search engine. Also Google will search the other MB site. Use your best judgement, sorry I am not able to help further until I get WIS back up and running. I don't expect it will be soon.

ECU replacement 360 Camera
Hi All
I have solved the initial issue, ECU has been located it is under the passenger seat, took quite a bit of work to get to it but I did, happy to share the experience with anyone who needs help,
I have since replaced the ECU with a second hand part, ECU has been tested and works however it needs SCM coding with the car's VIN# and apparently Merc has control on this, anyone has any other option to do this, cause I am sure if I go to Merc they will charge big $$, thanks

Hi there. Did you remove the seat to get to it? That's what i did, and i cant imagine there is any better way. I ended up with a SRS code or something as apparently you have to disconnect battery before disconnecting power to the seat. Code can be cleared by dealer really easily.
