Tighten suspension 2014 ML350
Hello, I have a 2014 Ml350. It rides well just bit floaty on normal roads, comparing with my GL450. I read people replace shocks and have stiffer feel. Could someone suggest what kind of shocks or other light improvements to make this great car rides even better(stiffer/firmer)? I've read others using Bilstein B6.
For after market shocks, how are the reliability compared with OEM? Around how much for a install? And if needed to change all 4 or just front 2 will be enough?
Thank you.

The non-AMG W166 has a floaty ride from the factory, your vehicle is behaving normally. If you want a sportier suspension, you want/need stiffer springs, more aggressive shocks, larger wheels and lower aspect ratio tires. Either search this site or use google to find suggestions for aftermarket suspension upgrades. Replacing your parts with standard MB parts will give you a nice floaty ride.

I have noticed this as well.
2nd owner 2013 ML 350 with 176,000kms high kms (winter beater)
I think my shocks are worn, given the age an kms it’s run.
it doesn’t rebound properly.
when it hits a bump it just keeps bouncing. It doesn’t feel right.
it nose dives on breaking an bucks up on acceleration. I know it’s a heavy car but still.
I have it going in next week for we front shocks but as mentioned I don’t want to replace with Mb shocks an have the same issues.
I will have my mechanic drive the car to see his opinion etc.
do they all drive like this????
