2013 ML350 headlight control unit problems
I recently replaced the factory Bi-xenon bulbs on my 2013 ML350 ILS with Osram CBB, everything worked fine for a few minutes then the driver side bulb went off I tested it worked fine on the right side. Next day I took the car to a Mercedes specialist to scan it, he did and found out that the headlight control unit ( 1669002800 ) need to be replaced. He quoted me around $850 ( $470 for the part and $300 for Install and programming + a bunch of other fees ) .
I looked up this process on WIS and seems to be straight forward install and also found OEM control units on eBay for way cheaper.
Question is does this really need programming if I do it myself ? or its worth it to just buy the part and pay for the $300 install + Prog ?
