2012 Bluetec Blower motor from intermittent to complete dead
I pulled over, turned off the car, started it back up and the fans turned on without issue. It ran fine for a couple of weeks, and now the blower just won't turn on at all. I don't think there is an issue with the A/C though, only the blower since it won't turn on even without the A/C on.
I see that a fuse for it is not in the box under the hood, or under the right passenger back seat. Does anyone here no where the fuse(s) for it are? I'm also wondering if it's something else since when a fuse is blown, it's blown. Meaning, it would not have turned on again like it did the 1st time I restarted the car.
Has anyone here had something like this happen? I don't mind replacing the blower motor myself, I just need to diagnose WHERE the problem is to begin with so figured I'd start from the fuse and go from there.
I read someone had a wire that melted or something? I'm pretty good with working on cars, especially electrical.
ANY help whatsoever would be GREATLY GREATLY appreciated!

There's an online version, a CD that came with your car, and it should be downloaded to your Command system so you can search by key word or topic.
It sounds like you are frustrated by your car. They are a lot more complicated than your "car stereo days," but take a deep breath and don't let a fuse compartment bamboozle you!

$900 to repair, though I found the part on Amazon for $45.00 and will be doing it myself.
I'll will report back if/when this repairs it.
Thanks everyone.

Anyway, while waiting for the part, I did more research and found there was a TSB issued for the problem I was having. Why did they not tell me this and instead quote me for a part I didn't need.
It's the 'wire melting' I mentioned earlier. So I pulled up the carpet and found mine having this same issue.
There was a hole melted in the wire harness and the wire wasn't sitting in it properly. Thing is, when they did the inspection, they placed this faulty wire back into the incorrect harness slot.
So they were going to charge me close to $2,000 to swap a regulator??
All I did was resplice the wire and the issue was fixed. Completely free.
Here is a video someone else made on it:
