I have the front end disassembled and I don't seem to have the clearance to get the strut out. Even when I push down on the control arm, I don't get the clearance I need to swing the strut and spring over the driveshaft. What am I missing? I did not add a spring compressor, but I don't think that will change my clearance issue. I do not have the 489 air suspension, just a spring and strut.
I used all of my weight to push down on the arm, but it did not seem like it would drop any more...clearly I am missing something.
Thanks for anyone who might be able to help.

Didn't find a 166 video, 164 is similar. My WIS is down at the moment or would have posted the docs.
Tie rod off
Upper ball joint apart
Axle nut loosened --> note WIS calls for axle nut replacement when removed. It is a multi-stage torque procedure.
Stab bar link off
Lower shock fork fasteners. off
Large prybar to lever down on LCA
Move shock fork over halfshaft
Upper shock mount fasteners off

I think the part I might be missing ins the axel nut, that is the only thing I can find that might give me more room...nothing else worked this afternoon...The lack if W166 on Youtube is a bit disappointing...not sure why no one is posting them...and if I did one it would be filled with profanity!!!
