P24A5 code on a ML2013 Bluetec
I have been getting a check engine light with code P24A5 (read on my phone from a cheap obd2 scanner).
when I reset the light, I can usually drive a few days before it comes back. Done this 3 times already.
code description says:
P24A5 Mercedes-Benz Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Cooler Bypass Control Stuck (Bank 1)
any clue if this is the egr valve or something else ?
The car runs fine with no symptoms or lack of power.
thanks for your support.

EGR gasses can foul everything downstream of the cooler pretty impressively, including the bypass valve. Sounds like this could be related. Could also be something else besides actual fouling. My wife’s 2012 ML350 BT had a code for the EGR cooler bypass valve the other month (don’t remember if it was this one) and it ended up being a few holes in the vacuum hoses going to the valve. So when the valve was commanded to actuate, nothing would happen.
Hope this points you in the right direction.
