2015 W166 Parking Sensors not active
Hi,
Hope this is a quick fix? With my 2015 ML350 the parking sensors have always worked correctly.... up until about two week sago.
For some reason now the red light in the Parking Sensor console is always on. When I press that button the light goes out, hence the sensors for proximity and parking are activated, but that only lasts about 5 seconds and the red light comes back on. This happens when the vehicle is stopped or moving.
It's never been an issue before. It literally just started out of the blue. The 360 camera works fine but even then the sensors don't give an audible signal when getting close to an object (say with a foot) and the front dssh-top mounted light indicators don't light up at all.
The only thing I have noticed is there's a small mark on my back bumper but that mark isn't near any of the sensors. It would seem some nice person hit me but bravely drove off without letting me know. Surprise *$#+!
Nothing else to my knowledge has changed. The Keyless Go still works fine, vehicle drives the same, etc.
Any ideas would be appreciated. I've got an extended warranty until mid July this year so if the sensor(s) or system needs fixing that should be covered.

I would suggest blowing air at the sensors just with a tire air hose if that dosent work try spraying some wd40 right at the sensors. Careful not to get any on your paint. You are trying to get rid of water.
