Recommendations for Spark Plugs Replacement

Hello,

My spark plug maintance service is approaching.
Hence, I have the following questions:
1) Do we know which are the OEM spark plugs for this car? Are there any better options?
2) On a spark plug service are there any other components that should be serviced/replaced?

Thanks!

Thanks!

1a. Yes, look at the DIY linked in my signature.
1b. No, buy them from the MB dealer

2. Not strictly. It’s nice to replace the cabin filters and engine air filter if they are due. Clean up the engine bay “while you’re in there”. Check cam position sensor, cam magnet and ECU connectors for signs of oil.

Anyone know the difference among the following:
1) Bosch Double Iridium Spark Plug ZR6SII3320, and
2) Spark Plug - Mercedes-Benz (004-159-81-03)

The 1st is supposed to be OEM equipment. Is this right?

Thanks!

Buy the plugs from a dealer and there will be no questions. Pay the money.

Well in general I wouldnt argue with your suggestion. Though for parts that are originally manufactured by other companies I wouldnt mind buying them half the price without having the MB logo on them.

YES, we know what the OEM plugs are (Mercedes) and NO, there are no better options.
Follow the recommended A and B service intervals and do everything that the service interval that is due at this time calls for.

While they are almost certainly made by other companies that specialize in making spark plugs, they are not generic parts that are simply stamped with a Mercedes logo. They are custom made to Mercedes' specifications.
