Good morning everyone,
yesterday morning when i started the car car i noticed a knocking noise from the engine bay. I popped the hood and noticed some white smoke and a knocking sound coming from the oil cap area. I took off the engine cover and I noticed that the cap wasn't completely tight, when I removed the cap while the engine was running the sound was louder, the moment I put it back the sound and smoke went away. I have a recording of it. Would someone be able to confirm that the sound and smoke are normal? This is the first diesel car I own.

Just tested mine sounds the same way with the oil cap off on a cold start, no smoke car has 40K miles
