ML sounds like it has aluminum cans in the engine on startup
My 2015 ML has about 95,000 miles on it. Recently, when I start it up, there is a large hollow rattling sound in the engine for about 5-10 seconds before the engine returns to a normal sound. There are no error codes presently. Any idea what might be causing this?

Or could be normal direct injection sounds. Are you familiar with direct injection engines/cars?

I am. My concern is that this is a recent event. I've never heard these sounds before.
