Regen indicator light

Hi everyone, new to the site. My question is, has anyone tried to tap in to the signal to activate the regen cycle and install a light to let you know when a regen is happening. This would prevent a shut down during a cycle and tell to keep driving until it's finished. Or can someone provide schematics so I can see if it's possible. Thanks

It's actually pretty easy to tell... when you come to a stop and the revs drop to idle, it almost feels like the car is "misfiring". You can furthermore confirm it if you come out of the car with the engine still running and can feel a lot of heat coming from the exhaust on the left rear side and can also hear the "ticking" of the DPF and exhaust metal expanding as a result of the extreme heat. It's hard to miss.

compignition, Recommend that you search and review the thread "Scanners for DPF Regeneration". See my posts #33 and #35. Scangauge does not provide you a light when the regen is occurring--it does something better--you can anticipate when a regen will occur and plan your driving accordingly. Mike

Thanks for the reply, does are all good for someone who pays attention when operating a vehicle. I'm afraid most people barely know the engine is running when they are driving for all kinds of reasons. I need something that will grab your attention!
