2013 ML350 Rear Brake Vibration

Hi all! I am having some trouble with the rear left side (driver's side) brake. I recently noticed some vibration and grinding noise and after taking everything apart to take a look, I noticed that the inside brake pad was completely worn out and was metal to metal. The inside of the rotor also had some damage. However, the outside brake pad was still in very good shape. I replaced the rotor and brake pads and checked that the piston was still moving and the actuator was working as well. After putting everything back together and going for a test ride, I still noticed some vibration while braking that gets worse during higher speeds. Any idea what the issue could be? TIA!

Do you have any idea when the brake fluid was last serviced?

Not during my ownership over the past 5 years, but I'm not sure if the fluid would cause an issue like that to be honest.

I'm not sure either, but air or water in brake lines is never good. Take a minute though to check you brake fluid reservoir -- both the fill level and the fluid color. If the fluid appears darkened from normal clear honey color, you should have the fluid changed.

Had the same ware on my 2012, found before any damage at 24K miles. Replaced and turned off lane keep asst. (did not care for it anyway) and wear has been even for the last 20K miles

I never considered uneven brake wear as a consequence of the lane keep function, but considering the harshness of the braking I experienced the couple times it kicked in, I'm not surprised! I disabled it also, and my brake wear is even.
