I have seen alot of videos just removing the cover or glass. I need to replace the entire assembly and see 3 screws locations. How do i access these ? is it from the inside and remove the vent location or is it all removed from the outside
The 3 Torx screws are accessed from the inside of the door.
Remove the door tweeter speaker cover, then remove the tweeter and the foam surround. You will then see the 3 screws from the inside that hold the side mirror assembly to the door. The cable that connects to side mirror is also in the door lower down connected to the module. You can follow the direction of the cable from the side mirror down. You need to take the door panel off on the W166 to disconnect the side mirror cable from the module. Then it is just the reverse to re-install.
