Need guidance for camshaft adjuster replacement
HI
i have 2013 ML350 with P0346. All 4 sensors and magnets were replaced. After much reading the next economical fix is to replace the camshaft adjuster and timing tensioner. However, when i ask few mechanics they all come back with $5-7K fix. so i would like to take the risk and diy.
I have watched a lot of youtube, i am still unclear and would like to ask
1. Do i rotate the crank and set timing at 40 and leave it at that to perform the task. or at what setting the chain inside will be most loose to remove and reinstall camshaft adjuster, tensioner. Thanks
