Is it worth upgrading to LED headlights?
I saw aftermarket LED headlights from Aliexpress, they look good, are they worth upgrading from halogen?

I upgraded the OE halogens on my Jeep JK to a set of JWSpeaker LED headlights, and the improvement has been well worth the $500 cost and couple hours to install. Illumination is brighter, whiter and better focused. This conversion swapped the complete headlight assemblies, not just the bulbs.

As a previous owner of a ML with the Xenon/ILS pacakge I would say Yes and No for the following reasons:
1) Yes, because you get a better distance looking forward compared to the Halogens, which is the most complained of feature in this section.
2) No because the labor/costs associated with doing this doesnt come without its issues. I mean you would be better off having better off installed professionally and if your in LA i know a place.
On a personal note, if your looking to keep your car or possibly trading it in soon, then I would save the hassel because newer MBs coming with LED standard. Hope this helps.

I would be weary of the Alixpress lights because you don't know the overall quality or how it will integrate with the vehicle (I.E Plug and Play?). It also looks completely out of place IMO, just not my style but to each their own. If you wanted the least hassle with most benefit just get LED replacement bulbs for your halogens, they have come a long way. I replaced my HID ILS headlight bulbs with LED and the difference was significant.

My previous ML350 had standard halogen lights. I replaced the bulbs with the higher quality LED bulbs and they worked fantastic ($45 upgrade) and compared to my ML400 with HID's, I'd say they perform pretty comparably.
I would just get a quality pair of LED bulbs and fit them in the halogen projectors and call it a day. The only plus I like about the factory HID headlights, is they swivel and the amber LED DRL gives the ML a mean appearance.

Actually, I have changed the halogen bubbles to Lasfit LED bubbles ($160 for 4) two years before They worked very well except the curve dynamic function. I also want to change the taillights to LED like GLE's as below:

Will be interesting to see how they go. The original headlights are not great on the ML. The swap to LED bulbs from the HID’s has been an improvement

Are these FAHREN bulbs off of amazon a good fit for the halogens on the ML? Would they have any flickering issue, it says there canbus ready. FAHREN seems to have some good reviews on amazon.
